Have already got tonights dinner,but really can't wait to try it out. If I cook something can I then put it in the fridge and reheat tomorrow.

Why not, as long as it is throughly heated up.
I do that all the time with my slow cooker. In fact sometimes it's better to make the day before, especially with something like a curry or stew. If you leave it overnight in the fridge all the fat will rise to the surface and go hard so you can literally just lift it off the next day.
