It's definitely a 'white meat' being classed as poultry, although duck flesh especially wild duck is a fairly dark meat. Confusing, isn't it?
I thought duck was game ?

Silly moo some wild ducks are called game birds but even edible game birds are now considered "Poultry" I believe. Just checked Wiki:

"In a more general sense, the word poultry may refer to the meat of other birds, such as pigeons or doves, or game birds like pheasants." So a nice dry Chardy for me please broken_mind. I love duck!

Personally I thought it was a white meat, but my friend gave up red meat and then wasn't sure if she could still eat duck.

But it isn't the most obvious one really is it?

Dark red when raw and pink (ideally) or brown when cooked.
