What's for lunch?
31 Answers
I seem to be managing with breakfast and evening meal choices, but I do struggle with lunch ideas.
If I'm at home at lunchtime I usually will have soup or a couple of boiled eggs or perhaps a jacket potato, but if I'm out, I can't think of something that I could take out with me apart from a sandwich and as I'm not buying bread at the moment then a sandwich is out of the question.
Any ideas please?

missprim, don't sweep all noodles into the same category as pasta. Rice noodles and bean noodles are very different to wheat noodles.
If unsure try rice vermicelli to start with and make a dressing from 1tbs soy sauce, 1tbs ime juice, 1 tbs dark brown sugar and 1 finely chopped red chilli. Finely shred, cabbage, lettuce, carrot, cucumber, radish, onion, kohl rabi, whatever and combine with noodles.
Top off with chicken or prawns a few peanuts some fresh corainder and pour over the dressing.
It might sound like a lot of hassle but it is a brilliant salad for using up odds and sods in the fridge.

Sorry, I know it sounds easy to make suggestions but what I failed to mention was not only do I not like cold pasta, I don't like fishy things like tuna and prawns. Also I don't like food that is even the teeniest bit spicy.
Like the idea of wraps though but not guacamole or couscous or peppers.
Making choices is hard for me as I'm a very boring basic food type of eater.
