Paddy bought the groceries,
Mick did the cleaning
Mick checked all the kitchen units
and found them full of stout apart from
one little corner where there was a white
loaf. Paddy! Mick shouted, are we having
a party? No he says, then what are we doing
with all that bread!
Thank you ojread and BOO, some good tips there. I have recently changed to Aldi from Asda and Tesco only due to the rising cost of food. It is cheaper and I also find shopping much easier if I have a list and stick to what is on it. If I go without a list I do tend to buy extra and unnecessary impulse buys. I do get stuck for ideas on what to make for tea though!!! :/
I can honestly say I don't know. I know that's terrible - but I don't.
I did however, go into Tesco the other day and the first thing I saw was a huge pile of packs of 24 toilet rolls bearing the sign 'Half Price'. They were down from £14 to £7. Tesco have got to be having a larf! Who would pay £14 for a pack of toilet rolls?!!!
CostCo for me, buy in bulk. You just have to have room around the house for bags of 24 loo rolls, a dozen soap dispensers, 10-gallon drums of milk and so on.
I wish I could afford to spend £80 per week for 2! In fact I think I would probably struggle to spend that much if I tried, what on earth do you eat every week??
