why does print head jam on kodak printer cause scanner to shut down?
1 Answers
The print head jammed (again) on our Kodak ESP 9200. Kodak helpdesk refuses to help saying we need a 7 digit service number. The tag on machine saying service number gives a 6 digit number. We brought printer back to where we bought it and their computer geek said yes, it is a 6 digit service number. So we have given up on printing from that machine, but would still like to use the scan function. But we cannot. When we try to scan we get a "scanner busy" message. Why would Kodak be stupid enough to design a system where mechanical print head jam disables scan function? Is there a work around? We could revert back to our original printer, and keep the Kodak as a scanner instead of buying a whole new all in one printer/scanner.
