Cress and cyanide?

My hubby was told at work today by a collegue that if you ate enough cress (I think we're talking tonnes) it could kill you as it contains cyanide! Is this true?

I don't know about cress, but apple pips contain cyanide and theoretically if you ate too many it could be fatal.

You'd have to eat absolutely thousands though!

It's strange to think that such things contain these things! Obviously only harmful if taken in extreme amounts but still.

Yes, but too much of anything will kill you.

too much orange juice can kill you... infact i suppose any liquid can kill you if you drink too much...

Water Cress is also very high in Vit C.

Wash thouroughly though as Water Cress makes a nice home for Liver flukes.

I thought it was cow parsley.  Awaiting a call back from my mum who I hope will confirm or deny.  Apparently it's just the same family though.
