How do sweet manufacturers (Skittles M&Ms) put the little "s" or "m" logos on every single sweet? They must produce millions each day and I am intrigued how they do it.

I can confirm that there isn't one little old man at the end of the production line with repetitive strain injuries... "The trademark "m" is put on the "M&M's" Chocolate Candies with a machine designed especially for us, calibrated so the candy shell will not crack during the process. The process is very similar to offset printing. The "m" was first imprinted on "M&M's" Milk Chocolate Candies in black. And, in 1954 the imprinted "m" on each candy piece was changed from black to white. [SOURCE: M&Mwebssite http://www.mmmars.com/cai/mms/faq.html#how2 ]
