Was remembering years ago when I had just passed my driving test and was taking my friend for a drive, who hadn't passed hers yet. As we went down one road I realised it had those width restriction metal poles either side. "The trick is to make sure that you keep the right hand mirror as close to the pole as possible " I smugly said. "That way you wont need to worry about the mirror on the other side " And with that I drove through, hit the right hand mirror and knocked it clean off. My friend was laughing so much she nearly wet herself.

Yes. I have just been shopping and paid at the self service till. Then I went to the Customer service desk to ask why at no point was I asked whether i had my Nectar Card with me. Two members of staff kindly took me to a machine and showed me that I should swipe my nectar card at the side of the machine before I pay, even though the machines don't ask this. They then tried to swipe my card so they could manually add my Nectar points but the machine didn't like it. So they called over a manager - who said "that's because this is Asda not Sainsburys"!

BTW I am reliably informed a wally is another name for the large gherkins you get from the chippy...... not sure if they come in left and right though
