If you're talking about the traditional scone, then it is strictly speaking what is known as quick bread. So it's bread...

I pronounce it like it rhymes with John.
Well they're usually with the bread in supermarkets but to me they're in the cake category.

Ever tried folding a baguette? Or an unsliced loaf?
Don't subscribe to the bread theory personally, but I suppose with jam and cream it is a bit like a sandwich

You can fold a scone - if it's big enough!
You have to knead the mixture so I supposed that makes them bread.

if you slice a baguette or a uncut loaf ...the slices can be folded Mark
