In the Aldi spread advert (Lurpak and Aldi's own version) with the two farmers in the field, who is the farmer at the back who asks "how's your wife?" after the cow moos. The man bears an uncanny resemblance to Norman Pace (with sideburns!) of the comedy duo Hale & Pace. The advert is shown interminably on one satellite channel lately.

The funny thing is that the front farmer does not look like Norman Hale.

I can see what you mean, but I don't think it's him! :-)
I used to like hope and kean, whatever happened to them? (that's rhetorical, no one need go look)
Good becaue I wasn't keen, and held no hope.
Good work sir.prize!

And dotty..........never heard of hope and kean, so rhetorical or not I shall google :-))
It's Hope & Keen for anyone who is going to look.

I loved Hope & Keen's Crazy House and the follow up series Hope & Keen's Crazy Bus. Their landlady was played by Ruth Kettlewell.
They were 1970s BBC Children's series for any that don't remember.
