Price of Milk
31 Answers
Mrs cook has just informed me that the price of milk for a 2litre jug has risen to £1.74. It was £1.18 on friday. I know the farmers should be paid more for their milk but I wonder how much of the 56p they will see. Morrisons should not need to profiteer in this manner. Anybody else paid more for milk today or is mrs c fiddling the household accounts?

We hear so much about Fair Trade tea and coffee. Maybe it's about time we had Fair Trade milk?

Doesn't appear that all that much is going to the farmers. Still, the supermarkets don't care. Once our farmers are out of business, they'll just import it and then they'll be able to charge EVEN more.
If you really want to help our farmers, buy less meat from a supermarket and instead buy from local farm shops or farmers' markets.
