can anyone tell me why my raspberries have got horrible dry blackish patches of seeds on the tops, there is no maggot inside, but it looks as if some little so and so has sucked out the juice from around the seeds.

It could be not enough water when they were growing, not seeds but some of the normally red sections of fruit have dried off?

but that can't be the problem boxtops, as believe me they have had plenty of water, the plants are bigger and lusher than I've ever seen them, in fact the fruit is a bit sparse compared to the amount of growth they have put on.
I have found this on my raspberries too, but mostly on the later ones. It looks like the seeds haven't formed properly.
