San Francisco to Napa Valley
4 Answers
Four of us need to travel midweek from SF to Napa Valley for a wedding (one way). Some tell us to hire a limo with driver, others a SUV with driver and others tell us to hire a car. Is there any public transport? Anyone had to dpo this recently?

There are no rail services. (Amtrak can actually get you from SF to Napa but it's a bus+train+bus journey, taking 3 to 4 hours, so it's not practical).

take a BART train to El Cerrito del Norte (on the Richmond Line), trains every 15mn from Daly City.
then take a "Vine Express" 29 bus - schedule here http:// nctpa.n et/asse ...PM_R ev10_21 _11(5). pdf
only issue is it's a commuter service, so only runs in the peaks - but it may be of some use.
