9 times out of 10 its fine, but what makes the milk boil over in the microwave on the 10th day?

Same goes for porridge, what can I be doing differently to make it happen occasionally but not always?

2/3 s of a mug of milk just gone everywhere. Stopped it halfway through to stir a teaspoon of chocolate into it. grrrr
Do the porridge on the stove ....it tastes far better than the microwaved rubbish!
And you do not, repeat NOT, cook porridge in milk. Always in water - milk may be added later if you really must.
I do mine half milk, half water. Will I be shot @ dawn? LOL
You may not cook porridge with milk mike but I do. I like it that way regardless of how anyone says it is supposed to be made.
where's the Scotch and a dribble of Cornish double cream?
Although not someone who rejoices at such news, I believe that the Germans invented the word "Schadenfreude" for such an occasion as this. Poor Maidup, in her attempts to save having to waste time cleaning out a dirty milk pan now finds herself having to clean out the entire microwave. LOL ( I know it's cruel and I shouldn't laugh) but LOL again.

I can't cope with a mess in a microwave let alone washing up a porridge pot carrust!

Which of any of these ingredients will stop it boiling over folks? Not fussed whether its made of milk or water as long as it stays in the dish.
I use a very large bowl and when the porridge comes to a boil, I reduce to half power and stir occasionally. Never had a boil-over yet!
