Simple one:
Tin of Heinz cream of chicken, heat it until it is almost ready then add a small tin of Green Giant niblets sweetcorn and a (small) splash of milk, salt and white pepper.
Eat with crusty bread.

lentil soup dead easy
Get yourself a slow cooker and leave a nice beef stew cooking while you are out at work. Plenty of recipes available on line. I love mine.

Thanks for replies. I have a slow cooker, but I'm slow on the uptake too....! I found a proper cheats recipe and it was lovely: a bag of mixed veg, some cooked chicken, a tin of leek & potato soup and a tin of chicken condensed soup - mix it all together with 400mls of milk & seasoning - it was thick, wholesome & delish!
