If you have a slow cooker or crockpot, put half a bag of casserole vegetables from the supermarket in the bottom your casserole beef on top and then the rest of the casserole pack on top, pour on some gravy and let it cook on low all day. Just delicious
I agree with the posting about using a slow cooker, it's ideal. I would like to point out that casserole is not a "posh" (I presume that means middle class) word for stew. Casserole is cooked inside the oven and stew is cooked on top of the stove, so the two words have different implications.
