After Eccles wanting lasagne, lol, got me thinking. It always tastes better the next day. And today I made a Cottage Pie for dinner, which was lovely, but I know the remainder will taste so much better tomorrow. What else do you think is better the next day?

Do you need a recipe, Sibs, as I can send you one, given the length of the Onion Soup (which was my guess) - the key with ribs is to precook in the oven on a very low heat, first coating of the marinade, then let cool, liberally cover in the marinade and cover the bowl and keep in the fridge overnight. 3 - 4 hours before eating, take over, apply some more marinade and bring up to room temp before the bbqing.

bit drastic, Robert, unless you are into Lebanese (no not Lesbian) and Portugese wines. Most deep wines (Bordeauxs etc so Can Sauvs/Merlots and varietals) benefit from a decant and two to three hours breathing. Opening the bottle and leaving it stand there does f-all.

I like left-overs from a roast dinner fried up - bubble and squeak. Yummy.

How weird DT, I made that soup for the kids last week, it did indeed taste better the next day.

Sausage casserole, in fact have to agree any casserole tastes better the next day

Also any roast meats. They don't taste 'better' the next day but cold roast, chicken, pork and beef are just as nice cold as they were hot. I don't like cold roast lamb though.
