My husband came shopping with me today. As a result my shopping bill, which is normal around £70, was actually £101. Does anyone else have this problem?
It would be more expensive if he went on his own, if he ever comes with me he just lets me get on with it. He knows that I have planned what everything I buy is going to be used for so he keeps out of it.
Exactly cazz! Snacks, fruit juices that cost the earth, Italian meats, sea bass instead of pollock, parmigano reggiano instead of cheddar........honestly!
If you can afford it, I suppose it doesn't hurt once in a while. Shopping adds up so quickly, you spend a bomb and having nothing in your trolley to show for it.
I'm a sucker for buying the offers, especially chocolate. I do think that Internet shopping is so much cheaper.
Yeah, i do when my kids and hubby go shopping with me. Im good when im alone, i have meal plans and stick to them, but when they come, they buy all sorts.
Last time I shopped with mine he 'bought' me a mini cyclamen,£1, then he disappeared and reappeared with a Freeview box for TV in back bedroom £20,which he 'allowed' me to buy him
Dee Sa - I was in Tesco on Sundah and bought some thinly sliced turkey (commonly called skinny turkey in our house) and it was £2.50. It only costs £1.75 in Asda (or two for £3). I was gobsmacked.
