I'm doing seafood paella, but I've got foccacia to start which I've topped with balsamic glaze, caramelised red onions and soft goats cheese.

How about you? x

Nothing yet, NoM - OH is away so I'll look in the fridge and knock something up for myself later on :-)

You can't have too much cheese, Ro.

Happy hunting, boxy x
I have a fillet tail coming up to cooking temperature in the kitchen. Have yet to decide what I'm going to do with it. Nothing too extravagant as I need some leftovers for canapes on Tuesday.
Mini sausage rolls with a brown sauce glaze et pommes frittes.

Hey, Excelsior, that sounds like a plan. I might just get blasted on vino and forget lunch. My dad has been an absolute A-hole all day and Mum's threatening to take his head off if he comes home in the same mood.
I'm baking all my party foods for Christmas, I haven't got time to make dinner :)
you are very welcome to join me NoM.
look at my profile for a thread about it ... i already have one guest

I love a sausage roll, owd. My Nan used to make awesome ones.

Ooh, what canapés, Eccles?
Question Author
Great avatar, daffy. :)

Thanks, Excelsior, but my mum reckons she's going to die of a broken heart if I don't cook my paella. Lol.
may i wish you and your parents a very happy christmas, NoM
It wont be much had a large fry up this morning the whole works
NoM, I'm going classic with my canapes (aka can't be arsed going shopping and this is what I can knock up)

The ubiquitous mini yorkshire, horseradish & rare roast beef.
Pigs in blankets (acceptable as there will be no classic Xmas meal)
Devils on horseback
Cream cheese and celery balls rolled in walnut crust (70's retro)
Gravadlax on blinis with dill & mustard sauce.
Tuna & caper stuffed peppadew peppers.

I have a lot of cucumber and am trying to think how I could use it in a canape.....
Duck confit.......mash and mashed peas, parsnip crisps....
Question Author
That sounds lovely, DT. My mother once bought a confit of duck for the waggy one. She's bonkers!

Eccles, can you maybe incorporate the cucumber into cocktails?

Nice one, fruit. Lol
that is indeed bonkers - bet he enjoyed it though.....my sister's setter loves his raw liver......
I was suppose to be going to my sisters but her and my BIL have had a fall out (it wasn't my fault, I did NOT feed him whiskey!!) So will probably have steak :-)
Doing summat with chicken thighs.
I want mine roasted with spuds, will do a curry for the reprobates.
Question Author
Lol Ummmm.

Alf loves cooked liver, DT.

Alba, I've had curry twice since I've been here. How bad is that? Lol
