HHave finally got a slow cooker off mum add dad for xmas. How do i cook a sizeable common joint in it successfully? Its quite large so do i need to cut it into smaller pieces.to cook better or just go for it? It will be the first time i have used it, so want into be successful. Mtia x
I've just re-read your question and seen that it actually says 'common joint' (which I've never heard of, other than when people share a spliff at a party!).
SSpellcheck on my done is a bit annoying lol! No joints of that description here, unfortunately. Haven't been peeping.....my mum Came to mine yesterday and presented me with a slow cooker. She knew i wanted one and decided to forgo the wrapping! Thanks everyone.....Chris, your recipe looks lush!!!! X
Thanks from me too Chris. I noticed a recipe for pork belly rashers which looked nice so I have made a note of it and shall try it as soon as I get the ingredients together. Very simple too. (for a simple person)
I do hope the new slow-cooker has a recipe book and an instruction book with it,
Unfortunately the newest slow-cookers cook a lot hotter and a lot faster than the old classic electric stewpots. A recipe meant for one of the old ones may result in disaster if used with one of the new ones.
You know what they say - if all else fails, follow the instructions
