Have You All Escaped The Not So Festive Germs?

Seems like germs are flying all round the place at the moment with colds, flu and the norovirus.

Have you and your family managed to escape or been struck down over the festive season?

I've been lucky and escaped with just a bit of a cold (trying not to tempt fate!).

don't mind my sniffles after hearing a niece is on crutches, dodgy ankle, one of her sons (3) has chicken pox and his brother (1) has been vomiting big style.

Yes, ive escaped it and i dont know anyone who has had colds or flu.

We both got the norovirus out of the way before Christmas

I think so, Im lucky in that I dont suffer from colds very often, my last one was in Feb 2011! I sometimes get the beginnings of one (soreness at back of nose, sneezing, swollen tonsils) but nip it in the bud. Not got this Norovirus thats doing the rounds either....thank goodness.

I've got a cough I can't shift and thing 1 has spent most of the week asleep as school has zonked her out (she has also had a bad ear that has popped now so she should start to feel better).

Going to the doctor's tomorrow for routine blood test. Will probably catch something there.

Mr Asks' man flu is developing nicely, lots of sneezes and moans today. We managed to get over Christmas in one piece, but the New Year seems a long time to suffer, anyone got a spare room?

People seemed to be dropping like flies before Christmas at work but hopefully people will have degermed over the Christmas break :)

I can't complain too much about a cold - suspiciously enough though I got it after being at the hospital and doctors, damn places full of sick people ;) Sat here overdosing on ice lollies with my Vicks inhaler trying to finish knitting a scarf for my Dad before tomorrow morning.
