foreign film query

I once saw on bbc2 late at night a strange foreign film, possibly german or frence, about 3 criminals who take a family hostage at their holiday home. It was a very bizarre movie, and all i really remember is that the 2 criminals wore black, had rubber gloves on, and used the rouse of borrowing eggs to gain entry to the house! Does anybody know what this might be?

Hello, I remember watching this as well. I remember the title because it was one of the very few horror movies that actually managed to scare me. It's an austrian "art house" movie (which explains why it's so bizzare), called 'Funny Games'. Hope this helps :o)
