Greetings from Snowy Nungate Towers.
A warm welcome awaits any Mad Over Fifty who braves the elements this cold winter night. For your entertainment this evening we are finally able to have the Ice Skating Gala, postponed from last week, so it's everyone down to the frozen lake later this evening. For tonight's hot plate special we have that old favourite Potage Bonne Femme - yes we managed to find another good woman! In addition, we also have a heartwarming hot pot, and the usual offerings of volly vonts and horses doovers and on the pudding trolley is a clootie dumpling with lashings of lovely custard!
In addition to their usual samplings of madrigals and toccattas, the minstrels will be playing a selection of Alice Cooper's greatest hits, and a small chamber orchestra have secreted themselves in the garden pavilion to provide the music for the ice skating. Also on offer by the lake will be mulled wine and all manner of hot drinks. Tonight's tailcock the "Snowglobe flurry" will only be available within the Towers as it is a somewhat potent brew, and we do not wish any of our guests to be seeing pink penguins within the Towers' grounds.
For the rofl we have an interesting selection of snow shovels and gritting salt
Sleighs ordered for midnight.

I have ventured north; ski's, skates, reindeer, polar bears, sheep, beavers, fur coats asplendent, facemask, boots, silken underwear, the oneses, toothpicks, and the posh Porsche.
All this to end up in Ishland, aka Shotland to celebrate this night of festies and goulies.
Who's cooking tonight as the Bonne Femme, I guess as we have the hoshmeat scandal there's nothing like munching the ham-hock of a good AB female.
Riffle - from the Chinese en route
One chopstick
One noodle
One chilli
One slice of pok from the wok
One wusty wok
One Pak Choy from Pakistan
One plastic container with sosh in
One empty ginged bee bottle
One empty bottle of H2O minus the O
One pawn cacker.
Why does this keyboad boad not wite my lette between e and t when I type about Chinese?

Good evening to you DT, my you have had quite a trek! Did you leave your menagerie in the Stables? They will be well cared for there.
Are your rofl offerings for a one armed bandit by any chance?
Now, now, there, there, Murray, I'm sure Tony will make it through the snow, but you mustn't cast apsirations that he is with Gness until you have proof - he may just be caught in a snowdrift...........

Evening friends. Had a little touble on the way here, Malkin kept sliding off Eric as the ice formed.
For the roughly I have brought: a chocolate flake, a sledgehammer, a battered skate (chips optional) bag of glacier mints and a glass of advocaat and lemonade. no mean feat keeping that upright, or not drinking it
