I hope there's no upsurge in the demand for foie gras. It is horribly cruel to produce. :o(

//i hope there's no upsurge in the demand for foie gras. It is horribly cruel//

Yes, but its just so exquisite.
With a glass of Sauternes, or a Takaji,it's just ... the best.

I feel terrible.

Obviously.
Is it a bit like brains with fava beans and a nice chianti jj ?
Jayne, did you watch that food programme on the telly last night?

The ducks are force fed by a pipe shoved down their throats. Their livers grow to between 8 and 10 times their normal size before the ducks are slaughtered. Disgusting.

I don't care if it is exquisite. You wouldn't get me eating it in a million years.
"Will there be an upsurge in demand for foie gras"

The thing is, Mazie ... I've not tried the cannibal bit, lol.

Oh, Mrs Chappie, I know, and I feel terrible. Really terrible.

It's just ... oh god, it's SO nice. It's beyond nice.
I kind of wish my post hadn't crossed with B00's !
