Are there enough vitamins for cats in their food (Felix Senior, Hills Vet Essentials Biscuits) or should I give my 12 yr old cat glucosamine-type cat vitamins for his bones ?

i think cats get enough vitamins in their food without giving them more and you could do more harm than good....

thanks dollie just wondered. His legs seem a bit stiff when he gets up for a walk after he has been sleeping, same as me !
I would have thought that he's getting what he needs from his food. I know someone with an elderly cat (18, so a lot older than your boy) and she puts a little cod liver oil in with his food once a day. That probably wouldn't harm, although I'd be inclined to do a bit of research first, just to be on the safe side.
They can get arthritis and rheumatism the same as us, SmurfChops, although 12 seems a little bit young for that. He doesn't have any trouble jumping and climbing, does he?

No, vetuste, he jumps and climbs although he's a big boy, quite heavy. Still has mad runs around sometimes, with wide eyes and ears back, has always been mad.
