I would like to purchase a food chopper as I have started making a a lot of home made soup and this would save a lot of time. I would like one with a glass bowl for easy cleaning instead of plastic. I saw a Russell hobbs one but I am not sure if you can use it for just slicing or if it just churns everything up. Has anyone got any recommendations.

For making homemade soups, and for other uses too, I recommend an immersion blender. This is a great tool to have in the kitchen.
