"Fried eggs and baked beans should never touch."

two fried eggs on the top is scrumptious!!!
I wish you well on the taste bud transplant, next you'll be suggesting a pot noodle.
Soft or hard yolks? Please don't say soft as the mental image is making me queezy.
Question Author
Snags lol, OK, I wont mention it!

Well actually i'm gonna, it really has to be soft, the yolk running through the beans is lovely!!

Arksided, Yes, I know baked beans are so "common" who gives a hoot, I love them but would not insult my taste buds with pot noodles!!

I love baked beans as well, I often have them cold with salad..........
I don't mind baked beans but they don't have to be Heinz as I like to squirt ketchup on them which hides the nasty taste of the cheapy beanz.
Heinz? Overpriced, even when discounted by the store. I've related on here before about Radio Scotland doing a 'blind taste test' on baked beans, which, to the surprise of many, resulted in Tesco's 'Value' beans being voted best!
cold baked beans, bread and butter, cheese and mayo mmmmm
I buy Branston baked beans.
Ratter: do you cook the beans until slightly soft or do you like 'em like bullets?
...and a Which? blind-tasting said Branston were preferred over Heinz. Lot cheaper, too.
Question Author
Snags, YOU DO WHAT WITH KETCHUP!!!? please tell me you are kidding!!

heathfield, I have detected the cheap beans many times, not so much the taste but the quality, you often find the odd hard bean or the dry powdery beans in the cheap one, Branston beans are ok but prefer Heinz.
Don't like eggs but I do like brown sauce on beans
Question Author
Snags, I dont like them to go soft, as soon as they are hot is fine with me.
Toast!

Fried Bread please - the only time I ever eat the stuff

The stodginess and sweetness of the beans perfectly compliments the greasiness and salt of the fried bread
Here's an easy, tasty recipe for baked beans:

In a saucepan cook about a pound of hamburger using whatever spices you prefer ( I like to add half a package of Lipton Onion Soup Mix as well). Add two cans of baked beans, one can of CREAMED corn, and mix together whilst heating...Delicious!
Question Author
"CREAMED corn" what is that?

Sorry Stewey, it sounds horrible!!
