As there have been no new posts for nearly 3 hours ABers must be out enjoying the sunshine!

Has it been a picnic lunch or are you saving yourselves for a BBQ this evening?

I'm making homemade burgers, a bacon, mushroom and Swiss for Mr Cake and a sophisticated version of a Big Mac for me. There will be no fries though just a side salad.

How will you all be dining today?

The good thing with that, Rocky, is he can reheat it when he gets home.

FGT - is it just the two of you? It seems unusual to serve different meals....

Rocky- I haven't had a curry of any sort for what seems an age. I might have to put that right.......
I'v had some southern fried wings from Sainsbury's but they didn't have much flavour. Had some toast as well. I'm now having Sainsbury's exotic fruit mix.

I bought some of those Muller De Luxe yoghurts last week and I'm now addicted. May have to pop down to the local Co-op and get some more if they do them.
There is only the two of us - I can't stand blue cheese and the steaks are small so will let him have both.

Also not unusual for me too cook two dinners tbh!
Spag bol followed by an evening walk on Stanage Edge, followed by a couple of pints of good ale.

I was just curious FGT as it can be hard enough scaling meals and shopping for just two people without serving two separate dishes for supper.

I know it goes on in family households (I'll keep my opinions to myself on that point!) but was surprised to hear of it going on in smaller households.

Mr S is asked what he might want to eat and then it gets adjusted according to what we have in and what I want to cook......yes, I am a bit of a cow sometimes!
Gawd knows, I hadn't really thought about it untill I saw your post Eccles,
I'll be keeping an eye on your answers to get an idea.

FGT. I've never used Pork Mince, how do you use it as a Kebab?

Jem
Chicken salad with some jersey royals.............
I wouldn't mind cooking two meals, it's the cleaning up that would bother me.
Lean pork mince, garlic, cumin, coriander, finely diced onion, (add egg if mixture is dry) shape into long sausage shapes and do on bbq or grill
Its a doddle really and I suppose my proffessional background helps too
Question Author
I'm sure you are right FGT.
FGT, That sounds tasty, I think when I get my weekly shop nx week I'll give Pork Mince a go, thanks for the idea.

Now, what shall I put on the menu tonight? erm, salad for sure + ?

jem
We were all having salad tonight but the young albas are away to a BBQ.
So, it's salad for 2.

I've made me pot salad, Mr Alba don't like so all the more for me.

I have been known to make 4 different dinners.
