I don't do diets but I know many people who've been successful with Slimming World.

Keep and eye out for Smowball posting as she is a Slimming World consultant and could tell you more about it.

thanks eccles,i have never done slimming world and would like to give it a try
Why not just adjust your eating - make sure you have no biscuits, cakes etc in the house. Stock up on your favourite salad ingredients. Make soups. I put cut up vegetables with some stock, tinned tomatoes and puy lentils in the slow cooker. Eat things like grilled fish/prawns etc. Chicken/eggs/cottage cheese. Start day with porridge or cereal with banana and strawberries on top. My downfall is wine and if I dont drink for a few days my scales show a difference.
You may prefer to be on a diet, but I lose interest when I try to start them.
I switched to low carb a few years ago. Found it to be easy and not restrictive...have kept off what I lost as it was also a lifestyle change for me.
You need to find what you can live with permanently-not just for dropping weight.
Kate Grasscarp has given you the best advice. Don't think of diet think of healthy eating. If you don't buy it you can't eat it.
Why don't you join us on a Wednesday to our circle which Xstitcher and I has been running for nearly 3 years now. The Ed always gives us a new monthly post. We just give one another ideas of how we lose and post our gains or losses . You don't need to say your weight if you don't want to. You can find us under weight loss and dieting. We post any day with our little naughties that we have eaten which makes us feel better and helps to get back on track. Good Luck.
Should have added we are under Onwards and Downwards
wendilla never heard of that do you have a link? I am eating healthily most days of the week but can't lose any weight.
Slimming World are very good - I lost 3.5 stone with them.
Dot and Kate if you subscribe to the thread you won't lose us.

thank you for inviting me to join you's wendilla,i am seriously thinking of joining slimming world though
Slinky-you can still join the AB thread...it's that little bit of extra support. I think others on it do SW or WW.
Hi kate. I have been doing Slimming World now for 21 months and have lost just over 8 stone now. I started a couple of months after I lost my husband as I realised I had to start taking care of myself. I used to go about 12 years ago and just dug out my books and started again as I can't get to group because of my mobility problems. I like SW because it is more of a healthy eating plan than a diet.
Kate nothing wrong with following SW .Just pop in and let us know how you are getting on . Jan 1957 has been with us for quite awhile and as she said has lost loads. She is an inspiration to us after all she has been through. Feel free to visit us there is nothing to do to join.
