i know this is an unusual question, but is there anyone here who is a qualified nutritionist? thing is I am coming to the end of a three week diet of living on a pound a day to raise funds and awareness of the work bone by Food Banks, while I have managed to live on that amount I am sure that I have not met my RDA's and would be grateful for some expert help.

While I can't answer your question, I salute what you are doing to raise awareness about food banks. The need for them will be increasing now with cutbacks, redundancies, etc becoming the norm.

Thanks pastafreak that's why I decided to do it for the food banks because they seem to have a low profile, yet the need for them is growing.
I just had a look at your menus. At first I thought you were vegetarian,as there was no animal protein...particularly eggs. I'm surprised you didn't include them as they are a very cheap source of protein.
TBH-I doubt the three weeks would have done too much harm. Just try to eat healthily from now on...and raise your calorie intake gradually with good quality food.
Just eat normally from now on.
not to belittle your effort at all but had you thought about adding in a multivitamin to your diet? They are pretty cheap in Tesco for instance.

Thanks everyone, normally I do eat healthily and take a couple of supplements, but this experiment was to see if someone could get all their nutrition on a pound a day
well yes, but that pound a day could include a multivitamin?
