I have a sealed mushroom pate which says its use by date is today, can you freeze it?

mushroom pate? well it might not kill you but mushrooms do not freeze well...I guess its worth a try. Meat or liver pate freezes very well
I often freeze homemade meat pate and terrines, not sure about mushroom though - the texture may well be affected.

What does it say on the packaging, there's normally guidance regarding freezing.
Yes, of course you can freeze it. Perfectly safe - but whether you'll want to eat it when defrosted....depends!
I think you'll find your mushroom pate has some pork in it - so it will freeze ok...I've got one it my freezer..The word Mushroom is in big letters but when you read the ingredients on the back it has pork fat and pork liver..My brother gave it to me as he thought it was vegetarian..
