Meat Feast...
36 Answers
It's my nephews birthday tomorrow and birthday people get to chose what's for dinner (he lives with us)
He's requested a meat feast.
What meat would you cook and what would you serve with a plate of meat?
I'm not a big meat eater, nephew is a veg/salad dodger.

Does he mean Meat Feast pizza? Otherwise, i would guess mixed grill type meal or lots of cold meats, mini sausages etc (and salad for those that will eat it)

Small cuts of meat - ie lamb, silverside ie roast beef, honeyroast ham, chicken pieces, pork - that would be enough - I would treat it like Sunday roast dinner with creamed pots, boiled, and roasted, and veggies that he does like probably "peas" but other mixed bag of vegs. Not too interesting I am afraid.
Can just suggest the obvious, a selection of roast meats. Since it is a meat feast I can't see a large steak covering the description. Varied is the aim.
Slices of roast beef, lamb, pork, chicken (any other fowl you can get hold of), maybe something more exotic like venison or ostrich or goat. Just wander in and see what your local butcher stocks.
To compliment you might want to consider the many sausages one can get. Possibly fancy ingredient British type ones but also slices of those sausages one finds on the continent. Your local supermarket probably has a wide selection of cold cooked meats.
You could even branch into fish meats, but I suspect that wasn't what he had in mind.
I suspect meat on it's own, the novelty would wear off fairly quickly so had plenty of rice/chips/wedges/whatever as side dishes. And if he has any favourite veg, a few dishes of that too, to add variety to the meal.
Are you sure he didn't ask for a jelly/blancmange/cake feast ?

Op my suggestion would be to go to an all you can eat carvery and avoid the washing up but obviously you've opted for a nice family meal so have you considered an exotic meat platter? Stuff like ostrich , kangaroo burgers, crocodile steaks and they also do buffalo, venison, wild boar and all those kind of things. It'd be a real eye opener and a great memorial experience for everyone there. Here's a website i found when i googled "exotic meat butcher" to give you a rough idea of what's about and you can google to see whether there's a butcher in your area if you like the idea.
