Put fruit in a jar, add sugar to taste and add alcohol to cover the fruit. Leave in an out of the way place, no need to prick or shake. After a year pour off the (gin) clear liquor and bottle. No need for straining or filtering, just drink. This is the simplest method possible and produces excellent sloe gin, should work perfectly with blackcurrants.
