I need new contacts and now I have finally left home the time has come where I have to blimmin pay for the things! In asda a contact lense test is a tenner, and 6 months supply of lenses about 40. This is very very cheap compared to other places - even tescos.

Does anyone have experience of asda lenses? are they ok, and is the test accurate, or shoud I splash out and go to a more expensive place.

I always used to get them from my mum's opticians, and she paid about 15 a month, so the asda price seems like a complete bargain! But are they terrible quality?

any tips or advice most welcome

we dont have asda here but you can get them from www.contactlens.co.uk very cheaply.

If they are asda's own brand, they are probably cibavision or something rebranded, boots and the optician i use do this with focus contacts

There was a very good article on contact lens rip-offs in yesterday's Daily Mail, page 27.
My son has used Asda contact lenses for quite a while and he is very happy with them.

thanks for that, daily mail article was v interesting too - will give them a go!
I use ASDA's optician, and they are really good. The prices have been knocked down recently because of competition with the Internet. I asked them, cos I use to pay 13 for 1 month contacts, but they are now 9.
Think i`ll try them too use specsavers now, asda is half the price!
