Does anyone know what fruit this is - the red seedy thingy. I think that it is a Pomegranate - but not too sure.

Thank you ladies - its for a competition that Merlin and I am entering (she is in charge of stomping on the keyboard). The prize is only cookery books but as I just happen to volunteer in a charity bookshop that would be a nic little earner!!
