Using normal porridge oats per 2 persons, half a mug(250ml) of oats (settled), 2 mugs of milk, put in bowl, into microwave, the 7 mins. at 750 watts, stir with a fork to break up any lumpy bits if present Then back in the microwave for 5 mins at 180 watts. This should not boil over if the rim of the bowl is a couple of inches above the surface of the milk at the start. I cant imagine it wouldn't work the same for pinhead oats.
