Cooking Time For A Tribird

OH bought a tribird (turkey, goose and pheasant), it weighs 3.5kg. How long should I cook it for? When I cooked one a couple of years ago, I went by the usual 25 mins per pound plus 25 but it overcooked and was dry.

25 minutes etc is too long - as you found out! 20 minutes per pound + 20 minutes is long enough and only 15 mins per pound if using a fan oven. And don't forget to rest the thing when you take it out and before you carve.
