I really like chicken but I don't like chickens; i-e I can't look at wings/legs/brown bits/gristle etc. I was going to buy a cooked chicken from Safeways as my Mum said they are always really nicely cooked and would last a couple of meals. Thing is, I will only eat the breast- white meat, and throw the rest away. Is there anything not too gross I could do with the rest of the chicken to not be so wasteful?

Too bad you're so far away, as I only like the dark meat - we could share!  LOL  Anyway, what about chicken salad?  Could you eat drumstick & thigh meat if it was chopped up in small pieces?  Mix the pieces together with mayonnaise, chopped celery and onions.  Or you could cut it up and make homemade chicken soup out of it.
buy breast portions!! Our Safeways (well Morrisons) now do them as well as whole chickens
Tesco's do the breasts too fresh or cooked :-)
Stick the rest of it in to boiling water and boil it to bits. make soup with all the stock and meat that falls off.

mmmmmm
I sometimes put some soy sauce, garlic powder and parsley on the thighs and legs (SKIN OFF) and microwave them for 7 minutes (50% power) each side.  My hubby loves them and the meat actually looks white after it's cooked.  I don't like dark meat either but sometimes I do have a bit of those.
