Feeling A Little Jaded Today....

Hosted a Burns' Night yesterday. Five courses and 11 different whiskys not forgetting gin, wine and beer.

Today has been a slow day although I made it to the pub to meet with some of last nights guests, instead of our usual lively chat we fell into what is best described as a companionable silence as we were all feeling a little 'weary'.

One conversation we did manage to have was sausages Vs chipolatas.......(we deliberately stuck to low level subjects given our delicate state).

Personally I'm in the chipolata camp, as were one or two others.

Nobody preferred sausages.

The majority couldn't tell the difference beyond recognising the size difference.

So to help me go back to the discussion with a broader sample of opinions.

Do you favour:-
Chipolatas
Sausages
Either/or; couldn't give a stuff?

Chipolatas wrapped in bacon on a Xmas Dinner :)
I'm not a fan of sausages. Aren't chipolatas just small sausages then?

I'm surprised with myself that if I had to have sausages I would opt for the cheaper ones. The high percentage meat ones are too strong flavoured for me.
chipolatas with turkey Christmas dinner. Not a fan of sausages. Size isn't important:-)

It's the casings that make the difference Ummmm.
I have heard from the Office of National Statistics that Surrey has the highest volume of whisky sales in January. I wonder who is responsible..?

I'd be thrilled if someone would bring me a chipolata sarnie with a squeeze of American mustard or splash of Broon.

As the day has gone on I seem to have gone downhill :-(
Have an early night, Eccles, then sausages for breakfast

couldn't give a stuff, . . . your words not mine!

I don't like sausages Tilly, unless very, very, very hungover. And I don't anticipate being sufficiently hungover tomorrow to favour a sausage over a chipolata!
Well, have a chipolata sandwich, then. Enjoy it.
Sausages for me I think, however chipolatas if there are no sausages.
either/or

and the five courses were?

Sausages!!

We have some delicious sausages that i cook at work for the school children! I haven't managed to buy any other sausage as tasty as these ones! They are locally produced and just have the companys logo on the label but I would buy them for at home!

Humber, the gathering were offered:-

Rare roast beef in Yorkies
Home cured beetroot salmon on rye bread with a dill and lemon sour cream

Cock a leekie with a garnish of crispy chicken skin

Haggis, tatties, neeps, Whisky cream sauce.......and chipolatas for any that were anti-Hagis

Bramble Cranachan

Selection of Scottish Cheeses, including Lanarkshire Blue, Black Crowdie, A Brie from somewhere I forget and an eye wateringly strong Mull cheddar.

Coffee and chocolate for those that wanted.
^in that case, scrap the chipolatas and put me in the haggis camp
Prefer sausages...but they need to be M&S 97% meat...any others are 'questionable'. No decent ones available from market or butchers here.
Oh, hey guys. I've also been a little jaded today, following Burns Night. Well, if spending the morning in bed, holding my head and rolling around, and intermittently running to the loo to throw up, counts as "a little jaded".

My very understanding BF, over from Switzerland, spent the morning watching the telly and listening to the sound of me honking. I know how to treat a guy well.

I tried to make up for it by taking him out for a late lunch before dumping him at the airport.

My "Worst Girlfriend Ever" medal is expected any day.
Tut, Jayne, falling foul of the Scot's torture liquid, did we?

Actually, I like a good Malt, depending on the distillery.....
