Milk Use By Dates
5 Answers
Can anyone tell me why milk which is delivered by the milkman has a use by date of no more than two or three days, whereas milk bought in the supermarket can have a use by date of seven or more days. Both are presumably pasteurised.

I get milk delivered (just to support the local dairy) however it gets left just after midnight and stays outside all night. In the summer it's a problem. I've certainly thrown more off milk away than when we used to get it at supermarket.
