Place To Eat Near Waterloo Station... Southbank Maybe?

Hi can anyone recommend a nice place for a saturday lunch near to waterloo station, maybe southbank?

Easy, La Barca, on the edge of the Cut, one of the old Italian family restaurants. I used to work in the area for several years........

ok thanks for that. will try it. does it get busy on sat lunchtime. ie do you need to book?
Probably adviseable, though Shell, the DoHealth and others are closed, you may have some pressure for spaces if there are matinées on at the Vics.
We had a really successful time when we met up with family for a meal here.

Its on The Cut just opposite The Young Vic. If there are matinees at either the Young or Old Vic, then its best to book at any restaurant in the area.
Studio 6 Gabriel's Wharf, Southbank, great food, good prices plus craft jewellry shopping at the wharf
there are literally dozens - in front of the Festival Hall for instance, along Waterloo Rd, along The Cut. Also along the river bank itself, around the Globe, one in the Oxo tower, one in Tate Modern, some inside the Festival Hall...

oh, and there's a food market every weekend on the South Bank where you can get all sorts of exotic goodies
