I know that (like me) some of you are partial to a drop of Porcupine Ridge.

It's now on offer at Majestic for £6.99, as long as you buy a couple of bottles

The Viognier blend white is really very good - possibly the best white I know for drinking with spicy food (Thai, Mexican, Indian).

The two reds are both good quaffing wines (with cheese and nibbles) - nice with a roast bird too. My slight preference is for the Syrah, but the Merlot is a tad softer if you prefer a less 'bold' taste in your red.

Thanks, I'll drop by and stock up.

My usual, if unadventurous, suspects are going through the roof; Villa Maria and Oyster Bay are £12+ unless you find a deal on....a bit steep for a mid week glass of vino!
My finding is an unusual Malbec/Merlot from NZ in the form of Cliff Edge, a very palatable number, deliciously soft and that came in at a penny short of 8. Tonight a Tesco's spesh (hate the shop but the mater likes it) a 1st Cape Special Cuvée at 5.49 instead of a penny short of 11. It's a Cab Sauv - we shall see.
