Crispy shredded beef/chicken

What the bejeezus is the coating of this chinese dish made of? I realised that I was putting this stuff into my body without realising what on earth it was made of/with. Any ideas??!

I think it's some sort of sugar based coating...very yummy but not very healthy...but who cares? Yum, yum, yum!!

Hi Andy! Well I took a pill and it went away, as far as I know. It was GROSS. I haven't had indian food since, and will never use that particular restaurant again..

The coating is corn or potato starch.

i think the crispiness comes from frying in corn flour but the chilli is just sweet chilli sauce caramelised in a hot pan and the crispy beef tossed in briefly but if you do eat a take away its probably packed with msg its easy to make yourself and healthier (encona make a good sauce)

It tasted okay, but so does horse. Lots of things that are not good for you TASTE okay. I would just like to know what I am ingesting. for my own health.
