Apple Cider Vinegar For Crystal Arthritis
5 Answers
Hi! As said before my husband is a renal transplant patient. He keeps having bouts of gout but also what has been disganosed as crystal arthritis. He came home Friday from work after having what he thought was cramp in his legs which turned into agony for him by evening, where his feet, legs, knee and hip really hurt, all his knuckles have swelled up too.
He has been having apple cider vinegar (1 tablespoon in 1/2 cup of hot water) we have suddenly panicked that maybe with his other medication he shouldn't be having this! Such as grapefruit is a def no no for him. It does seem to be helping as he can actually get up and move about now. But are we doing more harm than good?
He is going to try to get a docs appointment tomorrow.

Crystal arthritis is due to his renal problems. Apple Cider Vinegar "therapy" would not affect his other medication.

I could also add to Sqad's remarks that you can get Cider Vinegar tablets which are much easier to take and no messing about mixing the liquid stuff. I've been using them for many years and my joints etc are still untroubled with arthritis.
You can take up to 6 per day but I only take 3 or 4 twice per week.
