I didnt mean films on television that you have seen several times. I meant when people go to the cinema for example and watch a film like The Sound of Music. 36 times!

.

When I was a kid I used to watch Jaws every Saturday.
I have probably watched 'It's a Wonderful Life' more times than any other film.
I've probably watched these films about 20 times each:
Seabiscuit, Memphis Belle, Gladiator, Now Voyager, Save the last Dance, Eight Below, Godfather 1 and 2 (3 a lot but not so much), Legends of the Fall, Silver Linings Playbook, Australia, The Three Musketeers, The Count of Monte Cristo ..sure there are more
Sink the Bismark
Battle of the River Plate.
633Squadron.
The Battle of Britain.
Dambusters.
Guns of Navarone.
Deep Throat.
LOL sqad :o)
My hot Auntie
At the cinema - none since the demise of News Theatres when occasionally watched the programme round twice.
Forest Gump!
He reminds me of me!
Also read the book numerous times.
Amelie
Love Actually
Midnight Run
The Godfather 1 & 2 (could only muster enough strength to watch 3 once)
Notting Hill
Four Weddings

There's probably a few more that I've forgotten.
There is an odd one out in Sqad's list
I have watched re-runs at the cinema, e.g. Star Wars, but I can't recall ever watching a film at the cinema multiple times on first release. Perhaps I did as a kid, e.g. the Disney stuff (both cartoons and live action) - I used to go to the cinema a lot in a school holidays.

I was tempted to go and watch Terminator 2 a second time on its release. The feeling on walking out of the cinema after the first viewing was amazing. I was dumbfounded ... completely blown away. It's not something I ever expect to experience again, as it's hard to surprise someone that much a second time. In the end I didn't go back - not sure why now, but possibly because I didn't want to spoil that feeling.

On TV/video/Sky there are loads of films I've seen many times, but when (as a child) my family first got a video recorder we only had one film - Close Encounters of the Third Kind. I watched it over 60 times. Great film, still love it ...
No, generally speaking, once I have seen a film I dont watch it again, however there are a few films I have seen more than once but only because they were on the TV and not much else on.

Im not a film lover, I often dont understand the storyline so I get bored. Its a Dyslexia thing!
More or less the same as sqad - with the addition of Platoon - but Deep Throat is not one I've managed to watch as yet - do you have it on dvd I could borrow, Sqad?
Hopkirk - the odd one out on Sqad's list must be Guns of Navarone - it's the only one Anthony Quinn was in............
Have watched "The great escape" about 20 times love it!
Sqad lol
