Soup With A Difference

I've just made some french onion soup - caramelised onions, a good beef stock, garlic, white wine and a slug of brandy - or so I thought. Instead of brandy I have mistakenly added dandelion and burdock. I have to say it doesn't taste too bad!

Getting Brandy confused with D&B cant be an easy mistake to make!

It is one of those posh bottles of D&B that Mr O bought from a farm shop. It is virtually the same shape as the brandy bottle

Dunno Psybbo, but when I was a kid my mom used to say don't touch those dandelions they'll make you pee the bed !.

We were married a long time...he knew better than to comment on anything I put on the table.....he counted himself lucky to get a meal...of any sort.

When MrG got his transplant and it didn't start up for a couple of weeks I scrounged dandelion leaves from next door's garden and put them in a salad....MrG started peeing...well not at the table....but soon after.....☺
