daily I drink a 1litre bottle of tesco value coke. Will this lead to long term bowel problems, I'm sure I'm halfway there already.

Don't know about bowel problems, but it won't do your teeth much good. Don't EVER brush your teeth within half an hour of having a fizzy drink - it will make it even worse.
tesco value coke ........why ..?
try something a bit more classy ..like rola - cola or
cresta lemonade ....yumm

i'm not going to say it will kill you.

but, IT WILL KILL YOU.

Stop.

Now.

Drink ASDA 18p cheap lemonade.; tastes infinitely better than schweppes and so on.

goes good with vodka etc

and tranquilizing under-the-counter stuff.

blah blah

I went off cola after I read that it was excellent for cleaning the lavatory!

harper - Oh, it is a great loo cleaner. I ended up with a few bottles of coke after Christmas and I don't drink much of it. Out of curiousity I poured a bottle in the loo and left it overnight. The loo was gleaming the next day!

deesel - I recommend cutting down on the coke! If it's the sugary stuff you're not doing your teeth and health any favours. And they've linked high consumption of diet soft drinks to osteoporosis so that is not much better.

Not sure about bowel damage, but consuming that amount of sugar, on a daily basis, I would suggest that you're probably heading for Type 2 Diabetes in later life. This is personal experience speaking. Kick it now, before it kicks you.
