karelian pie in finland

If you can get the karelians to put in it....sorry!

Difficult to put a single dish to a country, though I suppose you'd probably say moussaka for Greece, fassoula for Cyprus, svickova (that "c" should have a hacek on it [so should that one!] but there isn't one in this character set),or goulasch for Czech Republic, schnitzel for Austria, paella for Spain, and shish-kebab for Turkey are fairly typical.

Frogs Legs for France??????
and of course our national dish ............
.........chicken tikka masala .....
....(give me vindaloo any time )
What is a haček? :)

Bacon and cabbage in Ireland.

A hacek is that little "v" that appears on top of some letters in Slavic languages.  When it's on top of a "c" you pronounce it "tch" - thus "svickova" is "svitchkova" and "hacek" is "hatchek".

Seriously - what national dishes are there for England? Fish and chips? The only real one I can think of is the Sunday roast - Fish and chips and Chicken Tikka can't count unless they're cooked at home surely? (Anyone heard of a Chicken Tarka? It's like a Chicken Tikka, but 'Otter.)
