Quiche:-

Extra mature cheddar and really softly caramelised onions;
Salmon & Broccoli;
Blue cheese, pear and leek (particularly good if you blitz walnuts into the pastry);
Goats cheese and roasted pepper;
Smoked haddock, sun dried tomato and cheese.

chopped celery mixed nuts mixed in mayonnaise
What's a naming ceremony? Do you mean baptism/christening?
Fillings:

6oz cream cheese...2 tablespoons dry white wine....1 teaspoon lemon juice..1 teaspoon grated onion....seasoned salt....pinch dill weed....

Beat the above then stir in 6oz white crab meat...use as a topping for crackers or a filling....

Have a nice day....xx
well i think so far what you've got is great
but here are a few more ideas...

little cocktail sticks with blocks of cheese and a few other things like apple or grapes on them

lemon curd tarts and/or jam tarts

mini sausage rolls

mini pizza rectangles

pasta salad (pasta, veg, tomatoes, cheese, salad cream or mayo)

mini pigs in blankets (mini sausages wrapped in bacon)

meringue nests (hard meringue with whipped cream and fruit)

if you would like the recipe or pictures of any of these ideas please don't hesitate to email me at xxxxxxxxx [redacted] and I will email you back asap (if you email me win the next hour it is very possible you will get the soon after )
I'm not a fan of vol au vents myself but prawns in Marie Rose do seem very popular.

Tuna, roughly blitzed with chopped parsley, lemon juice and capers is quite tasty.

Roasted Mediterranean veg (you can buy jars/pots of mixed antipasti) finely chopped with mozzarella and basil with a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.

ellzloves1d...its not a good idea to post an email address on here...unless its a throwaway. You really don't know who might see it and use it. You're only young...do be careful. The Ed or a mod can remove that post for you.
Can you get Mexican ingredients there? Seven layer dip is always popular here
or Dill dip with fresh veggies
A naming ceremony is a non religious celebration for a baby..or anyone actually. It's not a baptism or christening, wish they'd have had them years ago, I'd have done it for my two. We're heathens :)

Tuna, lemon juice and capers sound delish, as do blue cheese, pear and leek with walnut pastry. Drooling.com

Thankyou everyone,some good ideas there.

Yes a naming ceremony is instead of a religious ceremony.

There will be a Celebrant to "speak" the event.

Thank again.
Are vol u vons different to to vol au vents?
Question Author
