I really think you should try to worry less. If the trolleys have been out in the fresh air then the handles shouldn't be too bad but if you are still worried get some antibacterial wipes from Avon and keep them in your car. Atishoo, sorry I did use my tissue. Diane
What if the person stacking the shelves with the wet wipes you've bought had just returned from the loo and not washed their hands?? ...stop thinking about it or it will make shopping even more of a chore. Unless of course something is obviously grubby. I often wonder about the amount of germs on the door push in supermarket (and other places) toilets cos I wash & dry my hands, then have no option but to push the door, usually in the same place as others, which to be honest does sometimes feel grimey. Sorry if I've just added another bug bear.
I sometimes fleetingly consider that somebody else's minging hands may have touched my shopping trolley. Then I remind myself that I rarely get bugs from any kind of thing - who really does, let's face it. My kids are really healthy and they are always covered in dirt ( mud n stuff, you understand, not my home which is a palace of Kleen). Nowt wrong with a bit of dirt and germs I say; too many people are getting too picky. The immune system needs this muck in order to keep fighting.
My dear old Mum used to say that you have to eat a bucket of muck before you die. I think we are becoming over obsessed with hygiene.Basic cleanliness in your home and person is all that is needed.I couldn't be bothered to fuss around with wipes all over the place in public. As in previous posts we need bugs to keep our immune systems going.
